MBABANE – “The boys played with good intensity.”

These were the comments shared by Mbabane Swallows Head Coach Caleb Ngwenya after goals from Felix Badenhorst, Kwakhe Thwala, Sizolwethu Shabalala and Bashir pushed Tambankulu Callies deeper into relegation a 6-0 demotion at Prince of Wales Sports Ground. Ngwenya said he was left impressed by the performance after the game.

“I want to congratulate the players for working hard and for putting in a great shift in today’s (Saturday) win, which is very important for the club. Overall, the boys played very well,” he said.

Derby

The Swallows mentor went on to say that the win against Tambankulu Callies was a good preparation for the coming derby against traditional rivals, Mbabane Highlanders. “The win is quite a good preparation for us and we will take a positive mindset going into the game against Highlanders, which is also important for the club to win to keep up with the team on top of us,” he added.

Meanwhile, his counterpart at Tambankulu Callies Vusisizwe Mahlalela said the game was tough. “We lost the plot when we got the red card because we had to change our game plan. We accept the results and we move on to the next game against Madlenya FC, ” he said.

Mahlalela went on to say that the last four games were very crucial for the club to win in order to avoid relegation.

“We are playing some of the teams which are also fighting relegation and the next games are a must-win for the club,” the coach said.

Mbabane Swallows next face rivals Mbabane Highlanders in the biggest game in the local league. Callies on the other hand, next face Madlenya.
