MBABANE - Jazz legend Don Laka has been revealed as the headliner for the Sibebe Resort Jazz Sunday.

The resort will celebrate the World Jazz Day next Sunday. The event will be held at the new venue ‘The Rock Lifestyle’ starting at 11am. The news were confirmed to this publicatio­n by the resort’s manager, Themba Thwala. He said “Upon paying the normal entry fee at the gate, our customers will have free access to the event. We invite all Jazz and soul music fans to come have their best time with us at The Rock Lifestyle under the theme ‘Jazzy Soul Sunday’. The fun will continue until late as from 6pm the vibe will change into a party mode under The Workers Party. Considerin­g that the next day is a Workers Day holiday, we invite all workers to come celebrate the workers day eve with us.” He went on to invite the public to attend the show dressed in their work suits to dance to the great music that will be dished out on the day. “You can book yourself a chalet or camp tent and stay with us all weekend, because you really don’t wanna leave the fun and go home. The entire weekend will be packed with fun and entertainm­ent,” shared Thwala.

…Saturday official launch day for new hang-out spot

It’s worth mentioning that on the Saturday it will be the official launch of The Rock Lifestyle, where South African musical duo BlaT Diamond, as well as Tag Team will be in the Kingdom of Eswatini for a performanc­e at the event. Locals who will also perform at the launch are Selby, De Wolf, Bobster, Prefect, Obsession, Thuba, Zulu D, Matamza, Tag Team, Supa CDQ, Sgitha, Bandzie, Sbu De Drum DJ, Bloss, Big boy, Bobster.

The Rock Lifestyle is a new facility at the Sibebe Resort establishe­d to give more options to their clientele. Thwala in an earlier interview with this publicatio­n shared that the new facility is a multipurpo­se lifestyle centre that will take the entertainm­ent space by storm. The launch at the end of April will be the first phase of a series of shows yet to be hosted. The area will not only focus on the adults, but the children can also be entertaine­d at the area because the place will dish out a lot of kiddies entertainm­ent, week in week out. It is worth mentioning that when the festive season hit the previous year, a water park was added to the venue.

Prices for the launch stand as follows general tickets are E100 on presale and E150 at the gate and the VIP pre-sale tickets are selling for E250 and E300 at the gate.
