MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe says there is a plan to pin down Mbabane Swallows marksman Felix Badenhorst in the massive derby on Sunday.

This weekend will see the biggest and most attended fixture in the country taking centre stage between archrivals Mbabane Swallows and Mbabane Highlanders, at Mavuso Sports Centre in a fixture billed for 3pm. This titanic clash remains the fiercest and most prestigious rivalry in the Eswatini football calendar. Inkunzi Emnyama, as Highlanders are fondly known, have not lost to Swallows in the past three games and ahead of the game on Sunday, Kgomongwe has come out to say they had prepared a master plan to stop current MTN Premier League top goalscorer Badenhorst on the day. The former Eswatini international’s unmatched tally is at 20.

“The boys are ready for the match. We started training on Monday and we have prepared a nice plan to stop Mbabane Swallows player Felix Badenhorst who is causing havoc in the league.

‘‘He is very slow in the legs, good in aerial balls, good tactically but we have someone like Mandla Palma who will be able to handle him. He is a clever player who knows how to position himself but we will stop him and Swallows from getting the maximum points against us on Sunday,” he said.

Kgomongwe went on to say that, at the end of the game Highlanders supporters would be happy. “We have seen that Swallows supporters are talking in social media, that they will win on Sunday but my word to them is that they must follow Teboho Thobejane.

‘‘They normally say that they win but we talk inside the field of play. Football can kill you and they must know that on Sunday we are going all out to do a double over them, which is something that has not happened in the last 10 years. We will make our supporters happy after the final whistle,” he added.

He said they had Siyabonga Mkhonto who will be used as their secret weapon.
