Nkambule 53rd, Parkim 85th HLANGANO – Ezulwini United returned to winning ways and bagged all three points in a 2-0 victory over Shooting Stars in the MTN National First Division League game yesterday.

Second half goals from Banele Nkambule and second half substitute Michael Parkim were enough for the Siyabonga Bhembe-led charges, who were from drawing their last game against Hlatikhulu Tycoons. They played to a 1-all draw with the Tycoons.

Yesterday’s match got off to a slow start, with both teams looking to find their passing rhythm from the get go. With a couple of players going down due to sturdy tackles, there were a number of physical encounters during the opening exchanges.

It was towards the end of the half

Nthat United started showing glimpses of brilliant play and saw more of the ball. United, formally Tinyosi, looked dangerous going forward but struggled to make the most of their chances in the final third, resulting in the match going into the break with no goal. Bhembe’s team continued where they had left off in the second half as they started like a house on fire. It was no surprise when they found the back of the net eight minutes into the last half through Banele Nkambule.

He was being brilliantly set-up by veteran wing midfielder Mpucuko ‘Smoothies’ Dlamini. The lead was doubled three minutes from time, thanks to substitute Parkim, who pounced after a well-crafted move that deserved to end with a goal.

Man of the match ‘Smoothies’ was in the thick of things once again as he masterminded the move, ensuring that his side came back with the maximum points as they chase promotion back to the top flight.
