Q Potters stun Way Inn in Dixie’s League

- BY CHRIS DLAMINI

MATSAPHA – Stunning results were the order of the day on Saturday in the exciting Dixie’s International Pool League.

Giants Way Inn got more than they had bargained for when they suffered a shock defeat at the hands of rookies Q Potters in an away match. Potters beat them 13-11 in what was an unbelievable result. This was Potters’ first win in 10 games.

The defeat cost Way Inn the summit, as they dropped to second in the standings of the E40 000 sponsored league.

Taking the top spot was Manzini Pool Club (MPC), who have 32 points to Way Inn’s 30 after 10 matches. In third is Stairs, who for the previous four editions were a basement side. They have 29 points in 10 matches, while Ludzeludze 1 are fourth with 28 points. Notable is that defending champions Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Pool Club were ruthless in the security forces derby against Correctional

Services, annihilating their rivals 13-1.

REPS had endured a dishevelled start to the season. They are gradually climbing up the ladder. They now sit on position six with 28 points.

“We’ll see in the second round.

The first round is almost up but we will give it everything to be on top again,” said REPS and national team star Constable Sibusiso Nhlabatsi.

He said they were not giving up on the title as the race was wide open, with the second round
