Premier League stars suspended
MBABANE – The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has suspended has five players from taking part in this weekend’s MTN Premier League games.
Headlining the lists of the suspended players are Mbabane Highlanders’ Banele ‘Stiga’ Ndzabandzaba, Mbabane Swallows’ Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini and Green Mamba box-to-box midfielder Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu.
‘Stiga’ who is one of the puzzle pieces in the Highlanders midfield will be unavailable for the team’s next two games, against Moneni Pirates and Tambuti, while ‘Tiger’ of Mbabane Swallows will miss his side’s game against Denver Sundowns at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground, on Saturday afternoon.

Green Mamba who will be playing against rivals Young Buffaloes will have to do without Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu, who has shown to be a key figure for the Ernest Mavuso-led side.

rules and regulations. In terms of Article 9.2.1.2 of the 2022/23 MTN Premier League Rules and Regulations, the period of suspension shall be increased by one match from the suspension previously served.
Meanwhile, Ezulwini United’s Zweki Ndlovu will lead the seven players who will be ‘frozen’ from the National First Division (NFD) after also being nabbed by this season’s MTN National First Division rules and regulations, which stipulate in Article 9.1 (a) that any player that accumulates three yellow cards automatically becomes suspended for the next one match.
