Luca bags gold again in Angola

This is the story of Eswatini swimmer Luca Fraser who has earned Eswatini another gold medal in the ongoing African Swimming Confederations (CANA) Zone IV Swimming Championships in Luanda, Angola.
Luca proved to be a tough opponent, winning the 200 metres breaststroke. This is his third medal.
The youngster was the first swimmer to earn the country a gold medal on Wednesday evening, in the first day of the event after winning his 50-metre breaststroke and getting silver in the 100m breaststroke.
Another future star Tiano Fraser won the bronze medal.
Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) Secretary General (SG) Nozipho Mahlalela said Eswatini swimmers in Angola continued to perform exceptionally well.

“More swimmers have recorded personal best times.
“We have swimmers travelling to CANA Champs for the first time in the likes of Sibo Mtsetfwa, Tristan Way, Sihlelelwe Shongwe and Alwandze Dlamini, who have displayed a true sportsmanship as they represent their country.
Luca bagged another gold medal in the 200m breaststroke; we couldn’t be more proud to have swimmers of his calibre representing the country.
“We look forward to what’s in store in the next couple of days.
“I just want to send special and heartfelt appreciation to our supporters who travelled with our team,” she added.
Team Eswatini currently has four medals in the competition which will end on Sunday.
The event features teams from around the region, compromising of boys and girls aged 11 and older in different categories.
