Way Inn face Correctional in Dixie’s League

- Chris Dlamini

MBABANE – The Dixie’s International Pool League first round is coming to an end for some clubs and not without mouth-watering fixtures.

Today, title-chasing Way Inn, who are currently sitting on second take on struggling Correctional Services, who started the league quite later than the rest of the teams and yet to find their rhythm. They will be away to a star-studded Way Inn, who boast Nathi ‘Bhubesi’ Sihlongonyane among their litany of stars.

Giants

However, Correctional still have Flag Nxumalo to lead them and get them back into the form that made them giants in the last two seasons.

Way Inn are pushing leaders Manzini Pool Club (MPC) at the summit with only two points standing between them in 12 matches and the first round ends for some clubs including the top four.

MPC will be home to yet another competent team in the youthful Malkerns Pool Club who are on the sixth spot after crashing out of the top four, following last weekend’s results. Malkerns lost their two matches.

Leapfrog

Third-placed defending champions Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) Pool Club take on rookies Bhunya Cue Stars away in Bhunya and will look to leapfrog both Way Inn and MPC if they can get a bonus win to earn four points and hope for favourable results in games involving the pair ahead of them. On the fourth spot is Ludzeludze 1 who have 34 points and travel to Garrison this afternoon for a 2pm kickoff. The full fixtures as confirmed by the Manzini Regional Pool Association (MRPA) Secretary Musa Dlamini, is listed with two matches slated for tomorrow.
