AG’s massive reshuffle of government lawyers
MBABANE ± There has been a considerable shuffling of lawyers within the Office of the Attorney General.
Sources within the office told the Times SUNDAY that the reshuffle was an impromptu one and took everyone by surprise.
Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo said the rotation and promotion of members of staff was normal and necessary to increase productivity and capacity. He said there was nothing untoward with the reshuffle, but to help the officers gain overall appreciation of the broader government operations and improve their problem solving skills.
“We believe staff who are rotated or promoted are motivated in their work resulting in improved overall performance,” the AG said, while stating that this was a celebrated labour practice. He confirmed at least 13 officers who had been affected by the reshuffle.

Lucky Vilakati has been moved

to the Ministry of Education and Training from the DPM’s Office; Welile Mkhatjwa has been moved

from the Teaching Service Commission (TSC) to the Ministry of Tinkhundla;
Futhi Magagula has been promoted

to Legal Advisor at the TSC; Lungile Mamba has been pro
