Many lack formal education but have made it

-

Madam,

(ducation is not valued in the country. *raduates with diplomas Munior degrees and post graduate qualifications are unemployed. Some of the graduates¶ studies were financed by government but it is not employing them. ,n other words government is not getting value for the money spent.

,n our country you have to be con nected to get a Mob.

That said many people are ask ing how convicted criminal Thabo %ester managed to accumulate bil lions while having only a Standard V qualification. The world tends to Mudge the ,4 of a person based on their education level. That¶s a big mistake.

%ill *ates is a university drop out yet *ates is one of the richest people in the world. +e invented 0icrosoft Office and made a killing out of it. Would he be wealthy if he had pur sued his university studies"

There are many people who lack formal education but have made it in life. ,nterestingly the uneducated but successful individuals have em ployed professionals to help them achieve their vision in business and other areas.

This shows that informal education is equally important.

%ester might have left school at Standard V but he is not a fool. ,n fact he has proved to be more clever than the educated. 3ity he chose to use his fine mind to engage in crim inal activities. +is upbringing has contributed largely to that , suppose.

,¶m not in any way discouraging our children from going to school not at all. , urge them to further their studies if they can. (ducation is important. $nd for those who are unable to go to school let them engage in informal education which is accessible and valuable.
