MBABANE – Police side Royal Leopard continued their dominance in the inaugural PLE Under-19 League when they annihilated security forces derby rivals, Green Mamba 4-1.

This was during a fixture played at UNESWA Sports Ground, Kwaluseni Campus.

After a delayed kick-off by 10 minutes due to clashing kits, the match saw Leopard make the early exchanges and deservedly took the lead just after the quarter-hour mark.

Putting Leopard ahead was Andiswa Dlamini, who was a marvel to watch alongside his midfield partner Teboho Dlamini.

Scoring for them was Banele Nkambule, who was brought in quite late when he should have started for all the menace he caused in the match.

He was a tough nut to crack with for the defence and his side won a penalty through a move that also involved him, but the ball came off the hand of defender Sinethemba Sibandze inside the box.

HESITATE

The referee was too close and rightly positioned. He did not hesitate to make the call, with Banele stepping forward to slot it home, 4-1 it was.

Leopard had already added their fourth via the boot of Teboho from the spot kick. Leopard were inspired by the presence of former Mbabane Highlanders and national team Sihlangu striker, now Leopard Captain Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini.

Leopard are at the summit of the log standings on 17 points after match-day seven, while their player Teboho now has five goals under his belt.

There were other matches at the same venue and full results are listed.
