Sweat, blood and tears

-

LL men dream but not eTually. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes to make it possible,”

These unforgettable words by one of the greatest philosophers of his time, TE Lawrence, inspire us to strive for more and actually make our dreams a reality. :e are on cloud nine. :e are walking tall. Team Eswatini has done it again and made our beautiful kingdom proud. They were hoisting the country’s flag sky high in the recently ended Zone VI Championships, which were staged in Luanda, Angola.

Team Eswatini returned home with an impressive haul of 16 medals from the championship. This is no mean feat really, considering the fact that there are nine gold medals from this haul. It’s no child’s play. A lot of work was put into this achievement. It was sweat, blood and tears. The team also won four silver medals and two bronze medals.

Congratulations are in order to our swimmers, including top coach, :elcome ‘MageMageMa’ Nhlabatsi. He too deserves the praise for ensuring that our youngsters were in the right frame of mind for the taxing competition. Nhlabatsi had dedicated almost his whole life in nurturing youngsters. His passion is unmatched and the number of exceptional swimmers he has produced speak volumes. :e are overtly proud and excited. This is a great achievement, which deserves to be celebrated by the entire sporting fraternity. Having said that, let us hasten to add that this achievement comes as a little surprise. :e somehow expected such a showing, considering the investment from swimming, who have really done well to nurture the youngsters. :e seriously think this is Must the beginning of great things to come for the country. Congratulations are in order to Team Eswatini for doing us proud.
