Supa CDQ extends his music catalogue
MBABANE- Prominently known for his signature skilful mash-up Hip Hop sets, DJ Supa CDQ has released a third single to add to his fast growing catalogue of music releases.
The DJ, who has previously released two singles, namely Forever Young and Glory, has enlisted the services of talented local rappers in Amarri, K-Darrow and Stikxx to drop a heartfelt single that has already found its way to the local flagship music show, the Eswatini Top 20 Chart Show, which is a weekly show that airs on the English Channel of the Eswatini Broadcasting Information Services
(EBIS 2).
Debuted
The single debuted as a new entry about a fortnight ago, rising some five places up the charts to number 15 a week later, becoming the first release by the DJ to get listed on the show. Reached for comment on the collaboration, the DJ said he was a big fan of the all the rappers he has worked with on the single, saying: “Everything was just magical and exciting.”
Speaking to the show presenters, DJ Supa CDQ said his decision to venture into music production in addition to deejaying was inspired by the need to be an all-round entertainer.
“I started releasing music because I just love being involved in the creative process of making a song and the art itself.
“It completes who I am as an entertainer,” shared the DJ.
Born Linda Dlamini, DJ Supa CDQ has defied many odds to rise to stardom, creating demand locally and beyond with performances at big stages including but not limited to the internationally acclaimed MTN Bushfire Festival,Capellos in Midrand, South Africa and Mariot Premium Lounge in Botswana, and his star continues to rise.

Nduma Ndumane singer and songwriter Sarnilo, who borrows from her Malawian mother-language Chichewa, to tell the story of idealistic young love juxtaposed with reality. Her smooth vocals complement the Afro-infused beat, glaring lead-guitar, captivating synths, with Sibu Manzini on production. The single was released to critical acclaim, leading to Apple Music selecting it as Song of the Week, a week after its release.
MP The General comes through with a bass-heavy Hip Hop record titled Legendary, off his latest album El’Gabhadiya, on third, with Sibu Manzini’s Hangover, which features the kingdom’s very own vocal beacon Velemseni moving to fourth while Vuka by Lution completes the top five.
Missing
Three new entries debuted on the show and they include the piano-infused Nduma Ndumane by MaWhoo, featuring DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and De Muziqal Chef, Does Heaven Even Knows You Are Missing by Nickelback and local female rapper Oriiginelle’s remix of her own hit single A Thou’nyana, which features a combination of Swati and South African rappers in Grixxly, Milkee, P Dot O, and Nino Fresco. Another noteworthy inclusion in the charts was Country music sensation Cleopatra Methula, who comes through with a relatively new single, which climbed some eight up to 10 position, after having debuted a 18 spot a week earlier.
This comes hot on the heels of her sold out live recording which took place at the Theatre Club recently, with the world stage already beckoning for the supremely talented songstress. The Top 20 Chart Show airs weekly on EBIS 2 FM, anchored by the duo of Bongani ‘BoBo’ Dlamini, and DJ Tizalami.
