BETHANY- Members of the Nazareth Baptist Church yesterday revealed that morning and evening prayer was a must for them.

In an interview with Umshumayeli Dlamini, he revealed that members of the church held morning and evening prayers wherever they were.

He said during the morning prayer, they thanked God for the gift of life and sought His guidance and blessings for the new day. He said they considered the morning prayer to be very important, given that some people slept and never woke up the following morning.

Challenges

He said some people slept and woke up to new challenges and illnesses.

“You have to thank God for protecting you from all challenges. During the morning prayer, we plan for the day. You cannot just wake up and plan for the day without inviting God’s presence,” he said.

Dlamini stated that the church encouraged people to mediate about the Word of God, be it at home, workplace or along the way.

He added that their teachings reminded members of the church to love and bless their children whenever they engaged them. He said parents were sources of blessings from the ancient times.

Dlamini stated that the church found it important to pray for the night whenever they went to bed.

Harmony

“We encourage that people should live in harmony at all times,” he said.

The members of the church hold the morning and evening prayers collectively at Esabelweni in Mahlanya during the ongoing twoweek festival. They are gathered in the country with their leader, His Holiness Unyazi Lwezulu Shembe.

However, Unyazi Lwezulu did not show up yesterday. The members of the church were told that he was among them even though invisible. They were told that he heard and saw everything from where he was.
