Sir,

Have you ever wondered why many people are poor yet they are Christians? There are many churches in Africa than any other continent in the world and these churches are full of people who are praying day and night, but poverty is eating Africans like a lion eating a lizard. I believe that this is because as Africans we made the biggest mistake of thinking that prayer is in the equation to success, yet prayer is in the spiritual world equation. If you don’t want to work in life you will never be successful no matter how much you pray. Success is not influenced by a particular religion but by hard work, determination and taking the right decisions.

China alone has 6 190 000 millionaires yet the main religion practiced in China is Buddhism. Chinese people believe in hard work and they take the right decisions and don’t depend on prayer for their success. Africa has 138 000 millionaires, yet the main religion in Africa is Christianity and churches are full of prayerful people; but these people are very poor. This is proof that no matter how much you pray if you can’t apply the right equation for success you will remain poor.

The equation for success is very simple; success = hard work + determination + decision making. Hard work is the price we pay for success. If you can’t work hard it means you don’t have the currency to buy success. Each and every one of us is expected to work hard. Successful people don’t blame others for their failure but they learn from them and also use their failures as stepping stones. They focus on their weaknesses in order to eradicate or eliminate them. Also don’t do things just because you want to please the people around you; don’t make the mistake of trying to fit in. Take decisions that you like and you strongly believe will aid you accomplish your dreams. Don’t be afraid of taking risks but make sure that you take professional risks. Work hard, don’t give up and make sure that you take the right decisions, with this I promise you that you will be successful.
