Sir,

In the book of Revelation 16:13, 14, under the sixth plague, which is still the future, shortly before the return of Christ, we are presented with the following words of inspiration; “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”

Notice that in the end times there is going to be a worldwide deception from the evil one. Many miracles will be done and the aforementioned text clearly shows us that these miracles will be done by devils, that is demons or fallen angels, which shows that satan and his angels have power also to perform miracles.

Wonders

Christ foretold: “For there shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before,” Matthew 24: 24, 25. Satan will use men to deceive fellow men and this he will do via ‘great signs and wonders’ and also unsound doctrines. In this he will raise false prophets. Outside they will look exactly like God’s prophets yet they are false.

Question

The question we need to ask is, where will these counterfeit prophets come from? The Bible is explicit: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,” 2 Peter 2: 2. These individuals will arise from among the professed Christians ‘‘and through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you’’ (2 Pet 2: 3). In other words these false prophets will deceive their followers and make money out of poor Christians.

Deception will play a very big role in these last days, for the ‘‘devil is coming down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time’’ (Rev 12:12). Thank God because the Lord Jesus warned us beforehand to ‘take heed that no man deceives you’.

Christ also said; “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name, and in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: Depart from me, ye that work iniquity,” Mat 7: 21-23. What a tragedy!

There are only two powers in this universe, God Almighty and satan. So we need not just follow because ‘so and so works miracles in the name of Jesus. Let us not be deceived by these modern day Simons.

It is no wonder Paul says; “And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works,” 2 Cor 11:14, 15.

Dear reader we must not follow blindly, rather let us ‘prove all things; hold fast that which is good’ (1 Thes 5:21). Let us be very careful whom we are dealing with.

Bopoto Gwinyai

As I read work by legendary writer Brian Tracy in his Maximum Achievement masterpiece, I discovered that there are two world viewers; Benevolent and Malevolent.

The former believes the world is a good place to live in; sees good in other people and situations, sees plenty of opportunities through everything he sees or does, believes they are good despite being imperfect, and they are very optimistic.

The latter have a negative attitude towards themselves and the world or life. We live a strange life in tough times; a life determined by how we see ourselves and the world, what we do and how we react to situations. This is a life where every decision is vital. Decision-making begins immediately you wake up. Whatever you decides to do today resembles what you can be and have tomorrow.

Positive

If you’re always positive about yourself, you believe in your capabilities and dreams, you take your work seriously and you work hard and always seek new ways to reach your goals, you can have all you want.

Also if you look down upon yourself, and believe you can never be successful, always have excuses and you ignore your duties, you will never achieve anything.

We all live this fast life; it always changes sides like a speeding rushing vehicle.

One moment you find yourself in a bright lane; you are where you’ve always wanted to be, your goals are set alight, you have the best family and friends anyone could ever ask for and you do as you like.

Drastically, the next moment you find yourself languishing in a dull lane; everything and everyone you had is gone, you are all alone with no one to shed a tear with, you are extremely confused, frustrated, disappointed and scared.

You still have yourself, you are still you, you still have a choice to make, you still have what it takes to be better and you can still make it.

Only if you don’t give up, stay positive and see good in that situation, you can still have it all.
