MBABANE - The first and second wives of jailed Mfanukhona ‘Kakona’ Dlamini are fighting over the ownership of a homestead, situated at Nhlambeni in the Manzini Region.

The first wife, Zodwa Dlamini, is the one who applied for a peace-binding order between her and the second wife before Manzini Magistrate Sihle Dludlu.

The bone of contention is the ownership of the homestead.

The first wife was given the opportunity to state her reasons for applying for the peace-binding order.

She told the court that she was hurt to learn that her husband had allowed the second wife, Nomphumelelo Simelane, to occupy the homestead in question.

According to Zodwa, her husband should not have ordered Simelane to occupy the homestead, whereas she was still staying at the homestead situated at Ngwane Park.

Assist

Their husband, who is affectionately known as Kakona, had been produced from His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS) to assist the court in the matter between his wives. “I am being ambushed by my first wife.

“I was relaxing inside the Correctional Services, serving my sentence but my first wife seems to be so keen to cause me more strain.

“That home belongs to me and it is me who has the authority to say what goes and what stays at my homesteads, especially the one at Nhlambeni.” she submitted.

Continue

“My first wife should just leave me alone and continue with her life.

“I cannot let her back into my home again and the person who is now responsible for the Nhlambeni homestead is my second wife, Nomphumelelo Simelane,” disclosed Mfanukhona.
