Weslians won’t be relegated – ‘Crooks’

- Lindokuhle Madlopha

MBA BA NE“Though we are in a danger zone, we will do everything in our powers to fight relegation.”

These were the words of hub giants Manzini Wanderers Head Coach Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe during prematch briefing that were held at Sigwaca House yesterday.

Hlophe said he trusted his boys as they have not disappointed him in the past three games and was looking forward to a positive result tomorrow. “I just want to congratulate my players for their fighting spirit. I have never seen such players who put so much effort, even under hard situations. Their spirit never dies, with the spirit that they have I trust that we will not be relegated,” Hlophe said.

The Manzini-based side’s gaffer further extended his appreciation to the ‘Weslians’ supporters for their undying love for the team and further urged them to come in their numbers to support the team in their match against Royal Leopard. “We are still working on our challenge

of conceding goals. I think our starting point should be attacking first and then defend. If we fail to concede goals, we will rather get a draw than to lose all the three points.” he said.

Meanwhile, Leopard Head Coach, Edwin Matsebula said playing with Wanderers was not going to be easy, but

they would try by all means to get the three points. “We have never played an easy game against Wanderers, so even this game is not different. Being at the top is not an easy position, it comes with so much pressure and more effort to put. We will try to be consistent,” Matsebula said.
