NO MAJOR ACTIVITY ON SECOND WINDOW DEADLINE

MBABANE – It was a quiet deadline for the second registrati­on period, as the big three clubs in the country made no major signings

It was only Manzini Wanderers, who were reportedly working tireless to capture former capital city giants Swallows and Highlander­s defensive midfielder Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze, by the time of going to print last night.

A source close to ‘Papi’ revealed that he was on the wish list of the faltering hub giants, as the Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe hope that he would help them in their quest to cheat the relegation axe, which was hovering over their heads since the start of the current campaign.

“Wanderers are crossing their hands to capture the signature of ‘Papi’, as they were waiting for his clearance from his team, playing in the Lubombo Regional Football Super League,” the source said.

The player, according to the source was training with the Weslians yesterday and this was also confirmed by him.

On the other hand, MTN Premier League side Young Buffaloes made the biggest catch in the second window, as they snatched Rangers exciting sharp-shooter Sandile ‘Magwegwe’ Mbingo.
