TODAY: EZULWINI UNITED VS MBABANE HIGHLANDERS AT MAVUSO SPORTS CENTRE, 2PM

MBABANE – Inkunzi Emnyama will be travelling to Ezulwini United this afternoon in a must-win game for both teams. Both Mbabane Highlanders and the ‘Stingers’ come into this game in desperate need of points, with the teams having different objectives in what has been an entertaining MTN Premier League season so far.

The home side is currently in the relegation z o n e , just one position above Moneni Pirates who have nine points, while the Mphumelelo Ngwenya-led team have 12 points and need a win to move out of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, the visitors, under the leadership of Head Coach Dumsani ‘DU’ Makhanya, also

have a goal of challenging for the league title, something they last won when it was still under the Castle Lager league banner. The team is currently in sixth place, just five points behind current log leaders Royal Leopards who have 28 points.

As the Mbabane giants enter this game, they will be without midfielder Mpendulo Tfomo, who has been suspended due to accumulating three yellow cards. They will also be facing their former players Mphucuko ‘Smoothies’ Dlamini and Mandla ‘Mshana’ Palma, who left the team last month, with Palma now part of Ezulwini United’s defence, which has conceded 19 goals in 15 games.

Highlanders’ attack, led by Philani ‘Mkasabuli’ Mkhonto, Sibusiso Tfwala, and Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze, will be challenged by Ezulwini United’s threat, including Smoothies, the

current Ingwenyama Cup top scorer with five goals, Thabiso Sithole, and Mangaliso

‘Ngrasho’ Nkambule who will be tasked at stopping their attack.
