Indlovukazi preaches against fake prophets, pastors

-

LOZITHA – “We are tired of fake prophets and pastors”. These were the words of Her Majesty The Indlovukazi as she shared the word of God during the Year Opening Prayer Service held at the Mandvulo Grand Hall yesterday.

Her Majesty said the Kingdom of Eswatini needed prophets and pastors who have had truthful encounters with God and not those who lie to people and claim that they had seen something and there is no proof.

“We do not want reverends who are full of deceit. The good thing is that if you are a child of God it shows. Your walk should be straight. You must not try to act like a good person when your foot is taking a different direction,” said Her Majesty.

The Queen Mother reminded the congregants that judgment day will come, where everyone will be expected to give an account of how they lived their lives. She made an example that God was aware that they were gathered inside a palace and that one day they will be expected to account and detail what they got from what was preached.

At the beginning of her preaching, The Indlovukazi first commended the pastors who had delivered sermons earlier, saying they made sure that the congregants ate, drank and were full of the word of God.

The Indlovukazi said if any of the attendees showed signs of being thirsty despite the powerful sermons shared, then there was a problem.

“Had it not been the challenges I have on my knees I would have stood up and danced all over the place. I am reminded of the story in the Bible about a woman who drank from the well when Jesus passed and those who looked at her saw a familiar face. You will remain thinking that you know me yet I am no longer the same. I have changed because I have drank from the well,” The Indlovukazi said, making reference to a Bible verse from Kings.

Elaborating, the Queen Mother shared with the congregants a story of two kings, one from Syria and another from Israel, saying the latter received a tipoff from Prophet Elisha that he was in danger. “The Syrian King became angry after hearing that someone had spied on his plan and told the Israeli King that he was going to attack him. However, one of the Syrian King’s servants told him that no one had been a spy, but that it was the power of the prophet. An army was sent to find the prophet and the Israel servants were deeply worried. But the prophet told them not to be afraid because God was on the throne”.

Also, Her Majesty quoted Exodus 14 and shared the story of how Moses delivered the children of Israel.

“Pharaoh unleashed the army on them and they cried to Moses, saying they were all going to perish in the desert. They had forgotten that God fights for his people. I implore all of you to be bold and confident because God will fight for us,” Her Majesty said.

Furthermore, Her Majesty encouraged the congregants to understand that at some point, God will take what does not belong to them.

The Queen Mother made reference to the story of Job in the Bible, who was wealthy, owned cattle and his children lived a good life. According to the Indlovukazi, at some point things changed and God took everything from Job, including his riches and children.

“God took what he had given him,” Her Majesty said.

After preaching for about 15 minutes, The Queen mother said the service was so uplifting such that one could end up speaking for the whole day.

After that, Her Majesty thanked the congregants and wished them blessings. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini then stood up, applauded The Queen Mother for reminding people, especially men of the cloth to be always trustworthy.

The PM said the onus was on the pastors to not only be trustworthy among themselves, but to God himself.

The PM had stood up to introduce and welcome His Majesty King Mswati III.
