Nsingizini out to maintain 2024 unbeaten run

MBABANE – Nsingizini Hotspurs are determined to maintain their unbeaten run in 2024 as they face off against Manzini Sea Birds.
After securing a 1-all draw against Ezulwini United last weekend, Hotspurs started the second round on a high note with a resounding 3-1 victory over current log leaders, Royal Leopard. However, the question remains; will Sea Birds pose a challenge?
Led by Sibusiso Mngometulu, Sea Birds recently clinched a 2-1 victory against Denver Sundowns but suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Young Buffaloes in the opening game of the second round. Both teams have had a promising start to the second round and will be eager to please their fans and secure maximum points.
In their previous encounters over the past two seasons, both sides settled for stalemates. They drew 1-all in the first round of the 2022/23
season and followed it up with a goalless draw in the second round. In the first round of the 2023/24 season, they once again played to a 1-all draw.
RECRUITED
With the second round underway and new players recruited, especially by Nsingizini Hotspurs, including Sizwe ‘Yeki’ Khumalo, Nyasha Chintuli, and Alvin Shabashie, both teams will be looking to make their mark. Chintuli made an impressive debut by scoring a hattrick and will be eager to prove his worth. Alexio Singion, the coach of Hotspurs, aims to maintain his flawless record going into week 16. Meanwhile, Coach Mngometulu relies on the dependable Muzi Tsabedze, Mthokosizi Gwebu, and Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze to secure maximum points for Sea Birds.
A win for Hotspurs would propel them into the top five from their current seventh spot, while a victory for Sea Birds would see them move up two places from their current ninth spot.
