7he 30 shared with the delegates$frica’s potential. 'lamini said all indicators pointed to the fact that $frica had the largest land mass, huge reservoirs of untapped natural resources. +e said $frica was a youthful continent, with brilliant and resilient hu man resource, naturally endowed with physical, emotional and spiritual strength. ,n , it was estimated that per cent of $frica’s population was years old or younger, compared to the global average of per cent.

:ith so much potential, the 30 said ³2ur mother land needs strong leaders to take us to the future. /eaders who realise the worth of this continent, leaders who will not allow our difficult past to be repeated, for we must be awake that it is not far fetched that there are those who are benefactors and thrive from the wealth of this rich continent. :e cannot and must not allow $frica and its people to be impoverished and enslaved in any form again. :e need leaders and not people pleasers, leaders who are firm and are willing to take unpopular decisions and appropriately reward good and evil,” he said.

7he 30 said inasmuch as $frica should be patriotic to the values and their way of life, he said the continent needs leaders who did not conform to old systems and norms that add no value, but leaders who would seek to understand the purpose of things rather than being focused on the means to fulfilling the purpose, as well as leaders who were disruptive to the norm and were innovative, rather than conforming.

³:e need leaders who are not afraid of failure but are willing to pursue a vision that brings positive change, leaders who dare to win for their people,” he said.
