We haven’t thrown towel yet – Siza

MBABANE – “We still have a chance to win the league.”

These were the words of Mbabane Swallows Physical Trainer Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini during a pre-match briefing which was held at the Sigwaca House yesterday ahead of their top-of-the-table clash against log leaders Royal Leopard yesterday. The MTN Premier League clash between the giants is penned for the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre this afternoon.

The former Umkhonto KaShaka deadly striker said they were still in the race to clinch the Holy Grail of Eswatini football, as the league was still open for all the sides on top of the standings.

“We haven’t yet thrown in the towel; we still have a chance to win the league. We will fight until the end,” Dlamini said

He highlighte­d that the absence of experience­d attacking midfielder Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst, who is nursing a shoulder injury affected the momentum of the team as he was pushing the other players on and outside the field of play.

The former Jomo Cosmos player also revealed that the impact made by on form Siyabonga ‘Gusheshe’ Zwane was immense in the club.

“Siya is unpredicta­ble as he offers different dimensions in every game he players,” he said.

Coming back to the game against Ingwe Mabalabala the former national team Sihlangu striker said preparatio­ns went well expect that they might do without the services of Sandile ‘Shoe shine’ Hlatjwako as well as Fela.

Meanwhile, the police side gaffer Edwin Matsebula they were done with preparatio­n for the match and the players were all looking forward to facing Swallows.
