MBABANE – “We will do everything to defeat them.”

These were the words of Seven Dreams gaffer Andile Vilakati during their MTN National First Division (NFD) pre-match briefing ahead of their epic clash against Pigg’s Peak Rangers tomorrow. The match is billed for the Prince of Wales Sports Ground today.

The two sides come to this match having met twice and the Pigg’s Peak-based side came out winners on both occasions. They first met while fighting for promotion to the NFD as Rangers denied Seven Dreams, who were trading under Sidwashini United the promotion. They also defeated them 2-1 to spoil their first round E50 000 incentive party at Killarney Sports Ground. It is worth mentioning that after Rangers denied them the promotion; the Sidwashini United management bought the status of Seven Dreams.

“Our preparations went well and the spirit among the boys is high, we are looking forward to the game, which I can christen a grudge match as they denied us promotion,” Vilakati said.

He said they were working on the psychological aspect of the players as they had been going through a rough patch in recent matches.

“We motivate them by saying that we can still get promoted. The challenge is finishing, but we have worked on that,” he said.

Meanwhile, his counterpart at Rangers Sihle Mavimbela it was worrying them that they started the second half of the season on a bad foot, but they were happy that getting promotion to the elite league was within reach.

“We are going to approach the game like all other matches. We don’t have any grudges against them as we were fighting for promotion. We treat them as our brothers,” Mavimbela said.

He further revealed that they had worked on the mentality of the players after suffering the 5-1 defeat at the hands of Malanti Chiefs last Saturday at the same venue.
