MBABANE – The Manzini Club is set to host a thrilling triple-header during the Women’s National League Week 12 fixtures.

The eagerly anticipate­d event will see the clash between log leaders Young Buffaloes and the current league runners-up, Manzini Wanderers, at 1pm.

Both teams are in excellent form, with particular attention on the army side, which recently participat­ed in a series of friendlies in Lesotho.

Young Buffaloes hold the advantage going into the fixture, bolstered by their current league top goal scorer, Simangele Skhondze, who has netted an impressive 15 goals.

Encounters

She is closely followed by her club and national teammate, Tenanile Ngcamphala­la, who has scored just one goal less in their 11 league encounters.

Lindiwe Dlamini, named December’s Player of the Month, will aim to lead her team to a long-awaited victory over Buffaloes, seeking redemption for their unfavourab­le 5-1 loss in their first-round encounter.

Fisiwe Hlophe, the Coach of Young Buffaloes,

hinted at the potential benefits of the internatio­nal friendly matches in Lesotho.

Notably, Buffaloes have amassed a total of 80 goals, while their week 12 opponents, Wanderers, have scored 37.

Furthermor­e, Royal Leopard, currently in fifth position in the standings, will strive to continue their ascent up the table as they face bottom-ranked Mbekelweni in the first fixture of the triple-header at Manzini Club.

Rounding off the fixtures at the Manzini Club will be the match-up between 10th -placed Elangeni who take on seventh-placed As Interladie­s. Both teams seek to improve their positions in the Women’s National Football League standings.
