MBABANE- Green Mamba Head Coach Enerst Mavuso says their main focus is to defend the league. The former Mbabane Highlanders gaffer said this in a telephonic pre-match interview ahead of their game against Madlenya today. The game will be played at the Nsukuwansuku Stadium in Mhlume, starting at 3pm. “We want to defend the league and that is our main focus at this stage of the season. We are aware of the team that we will be playing against, all we shall do is give them the respect they deserve and do what we are best in so we can come out with good results,” Mavuso said.

He further mentioned that winning the game against Madlenya was very important to them as they dropped points on their last game against Moneni Pirates and now they have a task of collecting all the three points just to continue to be on a safe side in the log standings. “We really want all the three points, right now it really doesn’t matter who is behind or ahead of us but we are only taking each game at a time and making sure that we get all the points as much as possible,” he said.

Meanwhile, Madlenya Head Coach William ‘Baggio’ Gamedze revealed that they were ready to fight and the players had fully prepared themselves for the game. “The squad is complete and we are ready to play to get the results we are hoping for. It is going to be an interesting game but not an easy one. We will try by all means to get the three points as we are not in a good position looking at the log standings. Our target is to maintain at least the top four,” Gamedze said. He also disclosed that they would be patient and take each game as it comes. “For the eight remaining games if we can only secure five games then we will be fine.”
