TODAY: NSINGIZINI HOTSPURS VS MONENI PIRATES AT KING SOBHUZA II MEMORIAL STADIUM AT 3:30PM BABANE - The high-flying teams will face off in this weekend’s MTN Premier League match, determined to prove that their past weekend’s shocking victories were not fluke.

Nsingizini Hotspurs claimed the scalp of Young Buffaloes, while Moneni Pirates recorded their first win of the season with an upset over Green Mamba. Interestingly, both sides stole the show away from home, but today it is Moneni Pirates who will enter Hotspurs’ den, aiming to rob them of maximum points to ease their relegation troubles. Another win for Gcina Dlamini’s men will see them move three places up from the bottom of the table, momentarily ahead of Denver Sundowns, Ezulwini United and Manzini Wanderers.

However, the Alexion Sigion’s team, which has established itself as a strong side of late, are yet to suffer a defeat at home this season. They are perched sixth with 28 points and a win will see them overtake Highlanders and pair with Mbabane Swallows on 31 points.

Both capital city giants will play their fixtures tomorrow. A familiar ghost in Yeki ‘Maduma’ Khumalo is expected to haunt Pirates in the

Mmidfield for the first time after switching camps. Captain Pius Baffour and midfielder Sinenkosi ‘China’ Dlamini will also have some crucial roles to play in guiding the team towards the top four.

However, Wandile ‘Shaka’ Simelane, Mphumuzo ‘Bhada’ Sangweni and Nkosinathi ‘Stina’ will equally have an important role to perform to bag other crucial points away from home. Each side has dominated once in their three past meetings, with a single draw recorded.
