Jericho Church to build E20m headquarters
RICHARDS BAY, SOUTH AFRICA – The Archbishop Bhekibandla Vilakati-led Red Gown Sect Church is set to build its headquarters worth E20 million in Mankayane.
These developments were announced by the archbishop, who doubles as Ngwempisi Member of Parliament (MP), during his discussion with senior priests of his church at Richards Bay, South Africa, over the past weekend.
The leader of the church said their architects were working on finalising the design of the church, but he was quick to highlight that it would take the shape of a stadium.
Blessed
He said as a church, they felt blessed that His Majesty King Mswati III would celebrate his 56th Birthday in Mankayane, at a time when they would be constructing their state-ofthe-art headquarters.
He warned leaders of the church against having illicit relationships with female church members, using the name of the angel.
He said these leaders went around telling church members that the angel visited them in a vision with the information that they should be their wives.
He said it was good for a priest to propose to a female church member after being shown her in a vision, instead of using the name of the angel.
Again, the archbishop emphasised that such priests should resign from the church before the angel looked away as this would affect the church members.
Furthermore, he said the church had been attacked several times on social media platforms, in particular Facebook, for bad things which were done by priests. Therefore, he said those who had gifts of helping people, should respect them (gifts).
“On the other hand, those who have demons (inhlanga) that keep on telling them to kill people, should come to me – I am ready to cut it off, using a blunt knife or my teeth,” the archbishop said.
He then warned the church members, including priests, against developing hatrate against each other. Moreover, the archbishop warned his church members against glorifying or worshiping the dead.
Instead, he said they should worship the Lord and stop listening to people who would tell them that the late Melika Vilakati said this and that, because they were not there when that alleged statement was made.
“Always know that the Lord is able to use people who are alive to convey a message, as he had used Jesus Christ before,” the archbishop said.
