Mba. Swallows 3-0 Manzini Wanderers

Swallows Head Coach Caleb Ngwenya: “We played well and I appreciate the effort of the players.

“It was one tricky game, but we managed to create chances as much as possible and converted them to goals.

“We are still interested in the other games, especially the semi-finals next weekend, so the game was a bit difficult for the boys as they had to run away from picking cards. I was impressed with their effort as they came all out and did not reserve themselves.”

Former Wanderers Head Coach Ikarbot Masocha: “It was a difficult game as expected but I think the boys did well throughout the game.

“We failed to put in more energy in the second stanza of the game, hence we tried to introduce fresh legs into the game.

“There was loss of concentration in the whole performance set up, the way we played, attacked and defended.

“This is one performance we would always remember.”

Manzini Sea Birds 1-1 Mba. Highlanders

Manzini Sea Birds Coach Sibusiso Mngomezulu: “We came into the game well prepared, our main approach was to target Highlanders in the first half and get an early goal.

“When they came through and equalised in the second half, I think we conceded that goal because we were one man down.

“Otherwise, my boys displayed a good game and fought till the last whistle.”

Highlanders Dumisani ‘DU’ Makhaya: “We tried to dominate and created a lot of chances even though we did not convert them into goals.

“We tried to add numbers upfront to at least get a goal.

“I think we conceded a very simple goal, which we were not supposed to concede. Coming to the second half, we tried to regroup, showed character and commitment until Menzi came through with the equalising goal.”
