Halle Bailey stuns on Essence cover
LOS ANGELES - Halle Bailey flaunted her very impressive post-partum figure on her latest magazine cover, just months after welcoming her first child.
The 23-year-old ‘The Little Mermaid’ star - who recently hung out with Halle Berry - looked absolutely stunning as she is featured as one of the cover stars of Essence magazine’s Black Women in Hollywood issue.
The mother of young son Halo poured her curves into a clinging burgundy velvet number, which showcased her stunning physique in the shoot by celebrity photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis which was styled by Jason Rembert.
The dress featured an intricate detailing at the chest, which resembled a hood and a knee high split as she donned matching dark red heels.
Her hair was pulled back into braids as she showcased her natural looks by wearing minimal make-up.
In another snap from the shoot Halle channeled old Hollywood glamour as she sported a midnight blue sleeveless dress featuring a feathery detailing at the top.
Her final look was a black sleeveless blazer dress, which she wore with a massive gold necklace.
Halle shocked fans earlier this year when she announced the birth of her first child in January, following months of pregnancy speculation.
The actress kept the baby news to herself throughout 2023, and only updated fans after the new year.
Sharing a snapshot of her, her baby, and boyfriend rapper DDG’s hands, she added a sweet caption.
The image showed the newborn with a small gold bracelet that had his name, Halo, engraved.
Bailey wrote in the January 6 caption, ‘even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son’.
‘Welcome to the world my Halo,’ the proud parent gushed.
And she added: ‘‘The world is desperate to know you.’’ Halle recently fired back at critics who called her a ‘liar’ for hiding her pregnancy by Photoshopping her baby bump away.
It started when she shared a flashback video on Snapchat, writing, ‘lmaooo do y’all remember seeing this pics on my Insta? We photoshopped out my belly,’ and adding a laughing emoji.
But some fans didn’t see the humour and accused her of lying.
