We will capitalise on their weaknesses – DU

MBABANE – “We know Swallows and we will capitalise on their weaknesses.” These were the words of capital city giants Mbabane Highlander­s Head Coach Dumisani ‘DU’ Makhanya ahead of the much-anticipate­d Mbabane derby set to take place at Somhlolo National Stadium tomorrow.

Makhanya revealed this during the Ingwenyama Cup pre-matches held at the Sigwaca House yesterday, he also mentioned that they had done almost everything in preparatio­n for the semi-finals. “Everything is going well so far and I must say that we have done almost everything to get ready for this game. This is also not the first time playing against Swallows, we know them and we know their weaknesses, we will work on them,” Mkhanya said.

He further mentioned that he was happy with the way the players were responding ever since they started training. “I am happy with the way players are responding to training, they give me so much hope about winning the semi-finals. This is a special and big game to every Highlander­s supporter and I just wish to invite them all to come and cheer the boys as they get ready for the biggest derby in the land,” he added. The gaffer urged all Highlander­s supporters to behave during the games so that the sponsors could be pleased and never hesitate

Khanyakwez­we Shabalala (Highlander­s captain): “We are prepared and dedicated for this game. The spirit among players is high; you can tell that everyone wants to be part of this game. We will try to work on our concentrat­ion and focus during the games because that has been our biggest downfall in the past games.” Kingsley Kwayki (Swallows captain): “We are ready for this game, we come a long way, we have started from somewhere and we are now here by grace. We are all in for this game. We have the same spirit and zeal to win this game.”

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows Head Coach Caleb Ngwenya said they were fully prepared for the game and he would give his opponents player number 12. “We know how important this game is and we also understand the stage we are at right now. The pressure is always there at Mbabane Swallows. We will go all out even though we still have two players who are injured but we will fight so that we can go to the finals. I am happy with the progress the players are making everything looks promising I know they can go and surprise a lot of people.”Ngwenya said.

MBABANE – Sibusiso ‘Scorpion’ Nxumalo, the Marketing Executive of the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE), expressed gratitude to His Majesty for ensuring the preservati­on of culture.

As a supporter of His Majesty’s vision, PLE has sent a team to the Bugani Festival.

“We have engaged our female fans, staff and BOGs to form the Lutsango. Our culture is rich and unites the nations. Culture shares the same characteri­stics with football, and just like football, it unites the nation,” Nxumalo said.

He mentioned that they were inviting companies to integrate football to promote their products and services across the globe and society.
