E375k Instacash for schools soccer
MBABANE – Instacash has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting high schools soccer by contributing E375 000 towards an upcoming tournament.
Yesterday saw Instacash pumping in an additional E375 000 to the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) with the launch of a high schools soccer tournament sponsored by the compny.
The event was held at SNAT Centre in Manzini.
This marked the second consecutive year of sponsorship from Instacash, following a successful E350 000 contribution in the previous year.
The increased investment reflected Instacash’s dedication to fostering youth sports and providing opportunities for young athletes to showcase their talent on a competitive stage.
Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo, the Managing Director of Instacash, aptly summarise the company’s vision for this tournament as a stepping stone towards greater success and permanence, emphasising their commitment to longevity and credibility in the business world.
“Beyond the mere realm of sports, such events serve as platforms for fostering talent, nurturing a sense of discipline and teamwork, and instilling values of dedication and perseverance among the youth.
“By providing a stage for young athletes to showcase their skills and passion for the game, Instacash not only contributes to the development of sporting talent, but also helps inculcate a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship within the community,” Nxumalo said.
Gratitude
Meanwhile, Eswatini Schools Sports Association (ESSA) President Zakhele Myeni expressed gratitude to Instacash for the fruitful relationship with ESSA. “We want to appreciate the engagement, as ESSA we are nothing without sponsors and children representing us,” Myeni said.
The president further appealed that the ESSA calendar is adhered to for the smooth sailing even this year.
“As schools sports we are a creature of the ministry when it comes to this sector and should reflect what it wants. I would implore chairpersons and everyone to stick to the calendar which stipulates that by the end of June, we should be done with activities so learners can resume lessons fully,” he added.
It is worth noting that the games kick off at branch levels today and will be played in 15 branches leading to the top 16 knockout tournaments.
