Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is estimated to boost Singapore’s economy by over US$225 million.

After performing six concerts in Singapore and wrapping the Asian leg of her world tour, the 34-year-old singer will add US$225 million to US$300 million to the city-state’s economy.

Her performances will carry benefits to Singapore’s hospitality, food and beverage as well as retail activities, according to DBS Bank Ltd. Economist Han Teng Chua per a report by Bloomberg published recently.

‘These would be mainly supported by higher foreign tourist spending,’ Chua told the outlet, adding that the citystate’s economy would be impacted by ‘a large number of oversees fans attending the Singapore concerts’.

GDP

Because of the 14-time Grammy winner - who enjoyed a date night with her boyfriend Travis Kelce and her bandmates after her concert on Friday - and her six shows, 0.2 percentage points of Singapore’s GDP will be added in just the first quarter.

Trade-reliant economy remains fragile,

Shivaan Tandon, economist at Capital Economics, told Bloomberg. ‘But growth should pick up more sustainably from the second half of the year.’

The report comes shortly after the Anti-Hero hitmaker wrapped the Asian leg of her world tour.

Following her final show at the National Stadium in Singapore, she was spotted celebrating with her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce and her bandmates at Koma Restaurant.

The Super Bowl winner, who is the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, had attended Swift’s show and was seen supporting his Pop star girlfriend from the stands.
