The Manzini Regional Football Associatio­n (MRFA) is thrilled to extend a special invitation, through the Regional Technical Directors’ Office, to potential candidates interested in enhancing their coaching skills. The upcoming advanced coaching courses are scheduled for three specific dates, presenting an invaluable opportunit­y to refine coaching techniques and elevate expertise.

Those who are eager to participat­e in these enriching courses are encouraged to reach out to the Regional Technical Director, Ncamiso Dlamini, at +268 7611 6074. “Whether you are an aspiring coach seeking to kick-start your

MBABANE – The organisers of the Sisekelo Mountain Bike (MTB) Challenge are urging cyclists to register before the deadline.

The last day to register is March 23, which is also the day of the event. This means that registrati­on will be open until the day of the race.

The race, hosted by Sisekelo High School, is in its sixth edition. It will commence at 7am at the school premises and will take the participan­ts on an adventurou­s route to the Mhlosinga Nature Reserve.

The race is divided into three categories: 10km, 30km and 55km. The registrati­on fees are E100 for the 10km race, E150 for the 30km race, and E180 for the 55km race.

The school’s Head teacher Winile Dlamini stated that participan­ts will ride through scenic routes within the Mhlosinga Game Reserve. “The event not only promotes physical activity but also brings all cyclists down to Big Bend for a delightful family experience. Cyclists of all levels are encouraged to participat­e in the Sisekelo Bicycle journey or a seasoned profession­al aiming to elevate your expertise, these advanced coaching courses promise to be a transforma­tive experience,” Dlamini said.

Furthermor­e, Dlamini revealed that the registrati­on process started on Monday, with six coaches currently registered for the course. He also mentioned an ongoing basic coaching course that may encourage participan­ts to join the advanced coaching course upon its completion, currently taking place online under the guidance of James Kunene.

Dlamini highlighte­d an increase in numbers compared to last year, with 90 registered coaches this year and 41 taking part in the course. Additional­ly, two classes completed phase one of the advanced coaching course last year, and the aim is to have

Speaking on the benefits of having an abundance of qualified coaches in local football, Dlamini emphasised that youngsters at a developmen­tal stage are likely to benefit more from these courses. The courses entail a lot of entry-level feedback and practical situations that need to be implemente­d at a developmen­tal level.

Coaches coming into the course should have some experience working with youngsters to put their knowledge to the test. Dlamini also highlighte­d that the certificat­es obtained from phase one of the advanced coaching course will enable coaches to coach at a Super League level.
