Jabulile pool admired
MBABANE - The Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA) has expressed its admiration for a swimming pool at Jabulile High School.
ESA Secretary General (SG) Nozipho Mahlalela has emphasised that the association is actively seeking high-quality facilities, such as those at Jabulile, to host night galas and promote swimming in the region.
Mahlalela said while making her remarks during a night gala hosted by Jabulile School in Mbabane at Nkoyoyo last Friday.
“It was thrilling to witness the impressive swimming facility that Jabulile School has constructed.
Intergrated
“The school has not only built a swimming facility, but has also integrated swimming into their curriculum, which is commendable.
It was astonishing to learn that within just three weeks of utilising the facility, the school was already hosting a fun gala,” she said.
The SG expressed her excitement about the potential for a close collaboration between the association and school.
She emphasised that working together would help achieve one of the association’s key strategic objectives: Developing swimming programmes within schools across the country.
Committed
“We are committed to fostering relationships with schools across the country to make swimming accessible to all emaSwati. By leveraging these partnerships, the association aims to tap into the talents within government school structures and provide students with essential water safety education,” Mahlalela further said.
She said they were currently involved with the Sugar Belt RES Corporation, collaborating with schools like
Ngomane Primary and High, Mhlume and Lusoti.
By expanding their outreach and collaborations, ESA said they aspire to create a future where every citizen will have the opportunity to learn and enjoy swimming safely.
Achievement
Meanwhile, a member of the school Board Masotja Mabuza praised the recent event as a notable achievement for the school.
Mabuza highlighted the dedication and effort that contributed to this milestone, expressing optimism that it would encourage further success and development for Jabulile High School in the years to come.
“I’m incredibly proud of this significant milestone. The hard work and dedication demonstrated by our school community have brought us to this momentous occasion.
“This success will serve as a catalyst for continued growth and achievement,” he said
