‘Saviola’ to bounce back to Sihlangu
MBABANE – Young Buffaloes Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze has reportedly bounced back to the national team Sihlangu.
The seasoned attacker was not part of the initial, squad that was selected by the Dominic Kuneneled technical bench.
According to reliable reports, the player has been involved in national team duties.
Gamedze joined the other players in their recent trip to Mozambique, where they were set to play a practice match against the Mozambican top side, Black bulls on Wednesday.
Due to the heavy rains that were experienced as result of Cyclone FILIPO, they could not proceed with the match. According to well-placed source in the team, the player also played in the Wednesday game against Manzini Sea Birds as well as two matches against Mbabane Swallows and Nsingizini Hotspurs.
Shooter
The army-side’s sharp shooter was last selected for the national duties in June last year ahead of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Togo.
Eswatini Football Association (EFA) then dropped him from Dominic Kunene’s led squad on June 8.
