TODAY: SEVEN DREAMS VS TAMBANKULU CALLIES AT PRINCE OF WALES SPORTS GROUND, 3PM

MBABANE – MTN National First Division (NFD) log leaders Seven Dreams will look to continue their impressive run in the league when they face off against Tambankulu Callies today.

The two teams come into this clash separated by 14 points in the league standings, with the Andile Vilakati side currently on top with an impressive 41 points. Meanwhile, Callies are in seventh position with 27 points. The last time these two teams were scheduled to meet was in the first game of the league, which did not play.

Participate

The Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba’s side were unable to participate due to financial issues. As a result, the league’s Disciplinary Committee (DC) awarded the full points to Seven Dreams. Now the two teams will meet again, with the Lubombo-based side having resolved their financial challenges and poised to potentially cause an upset against the in-form Mbabane-based side.

Seven Dreams have only lost four league games compared to Tam

bankulu Callies’ eight losses so far this season.

Seven Dreams, led by attacking midfielder Lizwe ‘Benny’ Dlamini, will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the league standings.

The home side’s defensive midfielder, Bonkhe ‘Power’ Khumalo, will also play a crucial role in containing the visitors’ attack. On the other hand, the visitors will be counting on their twin strikers, Bhekani Mthembu and Njongo Mazibuko, who have been in impressive form, scoring a combined 16 goals in the league.

Vigilant

Additionally, 17-year-old Muhle Siyaya will need to be vigilant against Seven Dreams’ potent attacking force, which has netted 30 league goals so far.

Although the home side will be without their top goalscorer in the league, Samkeliso ‘Fela’ Dlamini, they still have a strong line-up of capable attacking midfielders who can score goals. With proven and strong defensive players on both sides, fans can anticipate an intense and competitive match between the two teams, each of which will be determined to secure a victory.
