MBABANE – The Eswatini Schools Sports Association (ESSA) is inviting Premier League coaches to come and scout players during their ball games.

The invitation was extended by ESSA Secretary Nondumiso Ndzinisa with the ball games set to kick off next week.

“We just want to plead with coaches in the different clubs in the country to come and witness the talent and potential these young people have. We also want to encourage all the participants to prepare themselves and work hard as they may never know their next move in as far as these ball games are concerned,” Ndzinisa said. ESSA will once again host netball and soccer games for the Mbabane Branch starting next Wednesday.

Ndzinisa said the main mandate behind hosting such ball games is mainly to grow the development of the young players.

“With these ball games we are more concerned about the development of the aspiring players because it is during such occasions where they get to be recognised and be exposed to potential sponsors and other big teams, especially in the Premier

League who will identify them into joining their teams,” she further said.

This competition will see 16 schools competing under the Hhohho Region. They will come from four zones, with each of these four zones made of four schools.

The first games are scheduled for Wednesday, March 20. They will then be played on March 27 and last set of the group stage played on April 5. They will be guided by the ESSA rules and regulations, according to Ndzinisa.

Meanwhile, Ndzinisa revealed that prizes will be given to the schools that will excel in the competition. Instacash pumped in E375 000 for the games on Tuesday.
