MATSAPHA – Manzini Wanderers Ladies struck a dozen goals past the bottom dwellers, Mbekelweni, to keep their title hopes alive.

Neliswa Ngcamphalala was heroic, netting a quartet in the demolition of the opponents. Meanwhile, Lindiwe Dlamini and Siphesihle Dlamini could not resist joining in on the goal fest, each grabbing a hattrick. Vuyisile Mncina and Sibongile Khumalo then added a goal each to the demolition.

In a thrilling encounter, Wanderers Ladies look on Mbekelweni, with the latter still seeking their first three points of the season. Right from the kick-off, Wanderers’ winger Neliswa proved to be a constant threat on the right flank, consistently outmanoeuvering her opponent to deliver tantalising crosses into the box. However, the hat-trick star failed to convert those early goal-scoring opportunities.

The deadlock was broken in the 12th minute when Vuyisile found the back of the net, giving Wanderers the lead. Lindiwe doubled the advantage in the 20th minute, adding to her impressive goal tally. Siphesihle joined the scoring frenzy in the 29th minute, notching her first goal of the fixture and the third for her team. Neliswa then grabbed a one in the 40th minute before the break. At the stroke of the first half, Siphesihle completed her brace. The second half saw Wanderers maintain their commanding position, dominating possession and relentlessly attacking Mbekelweni’s box with swift and precise combinations. Siphesihle continued her impressive performance, completing her hattrick in the 51st minute, while Neliswa continued to provide pinpoint crosses for her teammates. However, Neliswa was wasteful five minutes before the hour mark. She failed to convert from the spot-kick in the 55th minute.

However, undeterred, Lindiwe completed her hat-trick in the 67th minute, extending the lead to 8-0. Neliswa regained her scoring touch, grabbing three goals in the dying minutes of the game. Sibongile Khumalo then hit the final nail in the coffin in the 88th minute, securing a triumphant dozen-goal victory for the team.
