,s this not the time which $postle 3aul warned us about? $ time when people will among other things µturn their ears away from the truth¶? ,s this really not the time, reader? $ time when people will not endure the soundness of truth a time in which truth will be seen as a hindrance to success? ,s this in fact not the time?

³3reach the :ord . )or there will come a time when they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.´ 7LPRWK\

7hese are words of an aged apostle 3aul written in a cold and lonely 5o man prison at a time when his death for the Gospel of -esus &hrist was imminent. 0ankind never takes likely the last words of a dying man.

3aul had initially instructed 7imothy, his own son in the faith, that ³$ll scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness 7hat the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works´.

3aul was now instructing 7imo thy to peach the :ord regardless of the circumstances surrounding him.

7his world needs the :ord of God. Not fables or moral lessons, however, good they may be. 7he world needs -esus &hrist.

He is the word of God, when -ohn had a revelation at 3atmos, heaven opened and he saw -esus sitting on a white horse. He was clothed with vesture dipped in blood and his name is called 7he :ord of God.´ 5HY .

God gets things to happen through -esus &hrist, who is His :ord. God created the world through -esus, and provided salvation in His name. 5eader you need the :ord of God for things to start happening in your life.

,n times of trial we stand on the ground that we are born again children of God. :e also counter attack with the :ord of our )ather. :e simply stand ³$nd take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God ´ (SKHVLDQV . ,s this not awesome? 7he Spirit of God uses the :ord of God in us as a sword to fight our battles!! No word of God, no sword!!

7he sword of the Spirit and helmet of salvation go together.

. 5eader , humbly invite you this week end to hear or read and meditate on the :ord of God. 7ake time to think about -esus. He actually died for you.
