Ex-player's E20k for Timphisini KO
MBABANE – Timphisini constituency will be hosting a knock-out tournament which is set to take place next weekend.
The Timphisini Regional League, which is under the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) will host a knock-out competition during the upcoming Easter Holidays. This competition is sponsored by a former Stone Breakers player Divadi Vilakati, who currently lives in South Africa. The competition has received a funding amount of E20 000.
Timphisini Regional League Chairperson Raymond Mavuso said this was a big competition and they were very grateful to Vilakati for his support and undying love for the Timphisini teams.
Appreciation
“This is a very big knockout competition which will see 16 promotion teams competing for the ultimate prize. We just want to extend our greatest appreciation to our sponsor for the support and kindness he has shown to the community. He is one man who grew up in the area and with his big heart he has since extended a helping hand to the teams,” Mavuso said.
He further urged all players to be on their best behaviour and have peaceful games during the tournament. He also went on to plead with everyone around Timphisini to come in numbers to support the players. “We just want to encourage players to prepare themselves for this contest and make sure to guard themselves during the competitions. Vendors are most welcome to come and sell food to football enthusiasts who will be spectators on the day, as this is also a way of generating more income for them,” he added.
Mavuso also revealed that this competition will keep the youth busy and hinder them from engaging in drug abuse.
