MBABANE – South African (SA) musician Sizwe Mdlalose has been added to the line-up of the upcoming ‘Lubombo Good Friday’ show, which will be headlined by DJ Tira.
Mdlalose is a popular South African artist better known for the song ‘Iyezi’nkosi’.
The musician will now perform alongside DJ Tira at Ka-Langa Sports Ground, where the show will be hosted. The show is dubbed ‘The Lubombo Good Friday’ and is hosted by Kasi Entertainment. There are special performances that are slated to take place during the show and these will feature musicians such as Moon Elo, DJ Freestyle, DJ Njebza, DJ Bandora, DJ Shaya, DJ Fats, DJ Sweet Shandis, DJ Elite and Immortal 7, and the host will be Angel Nelly.
According to Kasi Entertainment Director Nhlanhla Matsebula, they added Mdlalose to the line-up because of his popularity.
“We decided to add Sizwe Mdlalose because he is a crowd-puller and full of energy. His hit single, ‘Uphetheni esandleni’, makes him in demand, and people should get tickets early; it’s going to be a super good Friday,” Matsebula said.
He went on to assure patrons that this will be a show to remember, and security will be available at the venue.
Fireworks
“We promise fireworks because it has been a while since Tira visited the Lubombo region. He has only been visiting the Mbabane and Manzini corridors; we decided to bring him to Lubombo because he has a lot of support. He will now be performing alongside Sizwe Mdlalose, who is a musician who needs no introduction. We are calling on all of our friends to come and have fun. We will be having a security company to make sure that people enjoy the show safely,” Matsebula said.
DJ Tira, born Mthokozisi Khathi, is a South African DJ, record producer and Kwaito artist. He is the brains behind several Gqom songs, such as ‘Sikilidi’, ‘Nguwe’, ‘Thank you Mr DJ’, ‘Ngilimele’,
‘Malume’ and ‘Uyang’faka’,
to name a few.
He is also the founder of the famous drink ‘Bearings Cider’, which he recently launched in the country at the Xchange Lounge and Shisanyama in May last year.
He did not only launch the cider, but he also performed for patrons during the launch.
