MBABANE – The Runway Revolution auditions will be hosted today at The Xchange Lounge and Shisanyama.

This was revealed by the brains behind the auditions, Nompumelelo Mtasebula, who is an experienced model with prestigious accolades. She is the Miss Cultural Heritage 1st Princess winner, which is a title she took in 2022/2023. She is the holder of the Icon Model Award, dubbed ‘Star African Female Next Rated Model Of The Year’, which she won in Ghana courtesy of the Volta Fashion Week and Awards Honours.

Today’s auditions come as a second phase, as Matsebula hosted the first edition last week. According to Matsbula, during the first auditions, they managed to recruit seven models.

“Last week we were able to recruit seven models and we are looking to get more on the second phase of the auditions, which will be done at Ngwane Park,” Matsebula said.

Target

The auditions target high school designers and local and international designers who will be awarded certificates of appreciation. As for the high school designers, the first prize that will be won amounts to E2 500, the second prize will be E2 000 and the third prize will be E1 000. According to Matsebula, she is bringing the opportunity to high school pupils as a means of empowering them to work together.

“Only one student is expected to represent their school and stand a chance to win. What is needed in order to be part of this runway revolution is two outfits, swimwear and an evening gown. You can work as a team because you are representing your school,” Matsebula said.

Three schools will win in this competition. The first school will walk away with E2 500, the second school will take E2 000, and the third school will get E1 000.
