Top side’s players run to shylocks

ROME IF ERIK TEN HAG WAS THE BUILDER:

We are following it with keen interest while praying that it will not get to assets repossession.

We are back Gazi for another dose of football gossip. Things are starting to open up after what has been another long month. It is a new normal Gazi kutsi things are tough economically and the quicker you adjust, the better.

With Easter holiday is coming up next week, there is no prize for guessing kutsi why we are so animated Gazi. As singena with Wanitwa Mos, Nkosazana Daughter and Master KG’s Makhelwane hit, we love holidays and we are looking forward to the long weekend.

Sesitovele sitashe some sintsi nkhwa siyoligwaba neMakhosi leka Somhlolo.

Speaking of being animated, it has been an exciting week for Eswatini after a good outing by the national side Sihlangu against Somalia in their Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round first leg encounter against Somalia.

Never mind that even Shwashwaza Crew XI can beat Somalia but a win is a win. Finish and klaar. We can wish the team all the best in the second leg on Tuesday but the real test will be in the group stages of the qualifiers.

Sekwenteke konkhe lo Coach Dominic should not have his contract renewed when it expires at the end of the month. Akuchubeke labo Nuro na Ernest, while we search for a new head coach.

On top of injabulo ye- Sihlangu, the country’s two fastest sprinters in Bongiwe Mahlalela and Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa reached the finals of the ongoing African Games in Accra, Ghana.

All along, the country’s athletes were ‘tourists’ in these games with no podium finish since Sithandile Dlamini and Sanele Ginindza at the 2011 edition in Maputo.

Back then, the event was dubbed the All-Africa Games. It is interesting to see the athletes shining when the federation is in turmoil following the resignation of the Board en masse.

As it is an international break, we hope the players will ensure they stay in shape for the final lap of the season. No dodgy business please.

Speaking of dodgy business, we have heard of how these players of a renowned side are trying in vain to dodge shylocks. With payday always delayed, they are resorting to shylocks.

As expected, most of the players are struggling to service the loans. As a result, they are chased around.

We are following it with keen interest while praying that it will not get to assets repossession. Tjoh! Unzima lomthwalo. Sitayicela ivutsiwe.
