Trials before triumphs

- JIM MACHUKU

THE story of the Holy Week, leading to the resurrection Sunday, is a profound narrative that beckons humanity to enter into a spiritual conversation that brings clarity on matters of spirituality and eternity.

It tells a dramatic story of selfless sacrifice, as Jesus Christ endured excruciating pain and suffering, so that others may find peace and solace for their souls.

It is a demonstration of a spiritual passion and fervor to save lost souls and redeem human destiny, as Christ willingly gave Himself up to be crucified on the cross. Furthermore, there are valuable lessons to be gleaned from Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, which serves as a symbol of His divine authority and sovereignty over all things.

Praised

His arrival was a moment of great jubilation and celebration, as the people praised Him and laid palm branches at his feet.

This event teaches us the importance of humility, as Jesus rode on a donkey, a symbol of peace, showing us that true greatness comes through serving others.

In essence, the story of the Holy Week is a timeless description that continues to inspire and challenge us in profound ways.

It reminds us of the enduring power of love and sacrifice. It encourages us to seek a greater understanding of our place in matters of spirituality and our relationship with the divine.

The story outlines a structured process too for attaining one’s destiny while navigating through adversities with resilience and determination, ultimately achieving triumph. Here is what the story of the Holy Weeks teaches us.

Your human rejection is part of divine direction

Throughout your journey towards victory and triumph, you will face betrayals, and rejections, and shed tears as a result of suffering.

This weekend of Easter teaches us about the costly price of fulfilling destiny.

As you pursue your destiny, you may encounter people who betray you, feel lonely and abandoned in difficult times, and even wonder if God is listening to your prayers.

It may seem like the darkness will never lift, but don’t lose heart.

Keep your faith in God and stay strong. Remember that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. You may feel overwhelmed and lost at times but don’t give up hope. Don’t let the pain, lack and need discourage you.

Stay strong and keep moving forward, for your story has a happy ending when God is involved.

Your identity must be anchored in God

As you journey towards victory and triumph, it is imperative to remember that those who celebrate your destiny may also be the same ones who try to sabotage it.

The hearts of men can be deceitful and wicked. The very people who praise you today may seek to destroy you tomorrow.

It is similar to how the people who celebrated Jesus on a donkey also called out for His crucifixion.

Therefore, it is crucial to remain cautious and not be naive.

It is essential to remember that only God is true and every man is fallible.

As history has shown, the same people who hailed Jesus as a king also denounced Him as a false prophet.

Hence, it is essential to anchor your identity in Christ alone and build it on the solid foundation of the truth and integrity of the scriptures. Jesus’s own identity was divinely knitted with God’s.

You walk by revelation and not situations

On your way to your victory and triumph, it is important to remember that what God has said and shown you is ultimately more substantial.

Even though Jesus knew He was about to experience pain and suffering and ultimately death on the cross, He entered Jerusalem with excitement.

How can one celebrate their own pending death? Jesus knew what was to come was temporary compared to the aftermath of sustained glory.

What God has revealed about your life in the end is greater than what you are currently going through. There is no triumph without trials. Jesus couldn’t have died in the boat at sea, on being thrown down on the mountain cliff, or by King Harold. This is because his death was prophetic and revealed, and he had to go to Jerusalem to activate that predetermined destiny for all of us.

Therefore, for the joy set before him, he endured the cross. When you have this kind of revelation, you have faith and are determined to face what life throws at you with confidence.

You must be prayerful, prophetic, and expectant

As you embark on your journey toward victory and triumph, it’s important to stay grounded in heartfelt prayers and prophetic guidance.

Jesus, a model of prophetic leadership, consistently spoke about his own suffering and death, but also about his glorious resurrection three days later.

In moments of trial and tribulation, it’s essential to draw strength from the integrity of scripture, allowing it to shape your destiny and command your daily life.

By proclaiming his prophetic outcome, Jesus paved the way for his own resurrection, in a sense, ordering his own desired triumphant narrative.

I would imagine He declared, concerning Easter weekend, “I must endure this, but after Holy Week, I will return in unparalleled power, majesty, and victory for my people as the overcomer of death.

It is important to learn and practice how to speak positively over your life every day. One way to do this is by declaring God’s word over your life. This can help you rise above any negativity or challenges you may face.

Remember to make it a daily practice.

Go and expect to be victorious in this season. For comments 7837 1391.
