Better prizes for last New Year Relief draw

ALL eyes are on the final draw of the Swaziland Building Society (SBS) New Year Debt Relief competitio­n which started in January and ends today.

The competitio­n saw many customers winning E600 cash prizes weekly.

SBS Manager Marketing Veli Dlamini said there were grand prizes lined up for the final draw to be held soon. He said customers who entered the competitio­n were eligible to win the grand prizes even if they did not win in the weekly draws.

To enter the competitio­n, a customer had to open a savings or investment account, successful­ly apply for a Sipatji Loan or open a salary account, or transact using the digital banking platforms which are Mobile App, Online Banking, Cellphone Banking, Debit Cards and Auto Teller Machines (ATMs).

INVESTMENT

Customers that opened a saving or investment account stand a chance to win a grand prize of E10 000 worth weekend getaway and E3 000 for school fees as the second prize. The third and fourth prizes are E2 000 fuel voucher and a MTN Bushfire ticket valued at E1 500. In the Sipatji loan category, the first prize would be E2 500, while the second and third prizes are E1 000 and E500 cash, respective­ly. For those who qualified by using the digital banking platforms, the grand prize is a smart phone which can be won by three lucky customers. To qualify for the competitio­n, one had to open a new account with a minimum of E600 or deposit not less than E200 into an existing account, tap or swipe Debit Card for E500 or more, buy E200 plus electricit­y with Mobile App or cell phone banking (*800#) or successful­ly apply for a Sipatji Loan. A customer was then required to cut and fill-in the competitio­n strip in the Times of Eswatini newspaper and drop it at the nearest SBS branch or Times offices.

Meanwhile, the Society’s ‘Digital Usage’ competitio­n which started in December 2023 also ends today. Customers stood a chance to win a share of E40 000 by simply opening an account and using the digital platforms to pay for goods and services. Lucky customers won up to E1 500 weekly cash prizes and a cell phone worth E2 000 fortnightl­y. Customers who paid E500 or more using the debit card stood a chance to win E500 voucher to redeem at any local shop. Three winners were drawn from the weekly draws.
