Remember the cross - Gate of Heaven members encouraged
NHLANGANO – Gate of Heaven Christian Assembly Senior Seer Joshua Angel encouraged congregants to remember ‘the cross’ when they encounter challenges.
This was during the Easter celebration services held at the Nhlangano Central High School Hall over the week. Others members worshipped at Matsapha Voctim, During the service, the Seer read the scripture in Matthew 27, which talks about Jesus Christ’s suffering and painful death for all mankind and about His resurrection. Matthew narrates how these events occurred, leading to Jesus’ fulfilled prophecy. This was after the Christ experienced ridicule, trials and abuse at the hands of Roman soldiers.
Ordained
During the service, the brethrens had a Holy Communion, just as Jesus did before He was crucified. There were at least seven pastors and one prophet that were collared and ordained during the service.
Speaking during their ordination and collaring service, Pastor Shabangu told the pastors that they were supposed to go preach the word of God and not shift their focus.
He said lately, the church bodies were addressing pastors’ scandals in different churches, which was not supposed to be the case. He shared that most cases touched on infidelity and impregnating church members, which was wrong.
“God chose you to bring people to him, tell them about the resurrection and not ungodly things,” he said. Pastor Shabangu said they were supposed to win souls back to the church even if they did not have permanent churches yet.
He further spoke against the rivals wherein junior pastors then took brethrens from their pastors and opened their churches which he said was not supposed to be the case in their church.
The church leader Senior Seer Joshua Angel shared that the ordained pastors had been taking lessons from last year and God guided him to ordain them so they would go save souls.
The Seer shared that they currently had two branches in the country and the church was only one-year-old. He stated that the additional pastors were going to preach the word for people to repent and join them.
