MATSAPHA – “Stand where we die!”

The above sentiments were shared by Jesus Calls Worship Centre (JCWC) Pastor Sihle Dlamini, who urged newly-ordained pastors of JCWC to stand strong and courageous, even in the face of death. It was during the ordination ceremony of 17 pastors, which took place at JCWC Matsapha on Resurrection Sunday.

Among the ordained pastors was Jabulile Mashwama, the Managing Director at Eswatini Water Services Corporation (EWSC) and Jude, the son of Bishop and founder of JCWC, Robert Kasaro. The ordination service was conducted by Bishop Kasaro, while the Word of God was shared by Apostle John Rodriguez from Colombia.

Pastor Sihle encouraged the clergy to be brave in the midst of adversity, as the path of ministry was often one of trials and tribulations. He warned them not to be afraid or back down in the face of difficulty, but to stand firm in their faith. He cautioned against hypocrisy and encouraged the newly-ordained pastors to defend the church and its values.

“You are the number one defenders of this vision. The office you’re getting into has got no opportunity for cowing away, for hiding under the table when it is hot. You are standing in the line of fire. I, therefore, charge each one of you

today - there are no double standards, we stand where we die,” the pastor warned.

In addition, Pastor Sihle mentioned that they understood that this was work. He charged them to work for the office that was being bestowed upon them.

“Lastly, Your grace, I would love them to understand that they lead a flock. The flock needs to be taken care of. It needs to be defended and uplifted,” he said.

Pastor Sihle reiterated that the bishop must never be seen alone when the pastors were there. He said other pastors who had been ordained at the church disappeared.

The man of the cloth advised the clergy that they were not supposed to disappear, but were expected to lift up the burden from the bishop.

On another note, the pastor advised the newly-ordained pastors to always honour the clergymen who had recommended their names to be ordained.

Meanwhile, Bishop Kasaro said the ordination service was a great moment and a very special day in the church.
