RIGHT TO REPLY Forget inflated price; E200k padlock?

Sir,

It is very disheartening to note that emaSwati are continuously being taken for the worst fools by politicians. Who can explain and tell us the truth about the millions we are losing on a monthly basis? The blatant corruption happening in the country is now unprecedented the whole world over.

This forces me to question the political integrity of our politicians. Do they know what politics is?

Responsible

As people (senior citizens) who have led the country we expect them to be responsible and exemplary. They must remember that you can fool some of the people some of the time, you can even fool all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

This has reminded me of the biblical adage where Isaac came back from hunting and asked for food from Jacob who told him to forfeit his birthright before he could give him food. This matter is serious and it should not be allowed to continue.

Investments

Heads must roll because huge investments are being lost yet they would have been of great benefit to the entire nation. Do they even realise the damage the losing of millions per month is doing to the country and those who desperately need social assistance?

The healthcare system is failing the nation and this money we are losing per month through corruption would have come in handy. It would have also assisted in the education sector and elderly grants would have been vastly improved. We are all working for this country to make it a better one for future generations. We are paying their salaries so they must consider us in all the decisions they make.

It is natural law that we all learn from the ant; that we make hay while the sun shines let alone people like us who made our own hay, while the sun shone and ‘one eyed’ people among the blind are out to make themselves and their friends rich to the detriment of the whole nation. Enough is enough people; please put emaSwati first in all that you do.
